Exodus/the Passover: Lambs blood on doorpost saved. Present Day Passover: Jesus, the Lamb who’s blood saves.
Blog Updated 6/22/23.
May the Peace and Grace of God be with you.
Thank you for visiting the web site and this writing. Before sharing my thoughts on the reasoning behind the Exodus/Passover text in the subject line, it occurs to me that everyone may not know the meaning behind the blog picture associated with this article.
In the blog picture, the white round circle above the gold chalice is unleavened bread, called the ‘host’. The radiant rays indicate the unleavened bread is now ‘host’ to the presence of Jesus by the workings of the Holy Trinity where the host is referred to as the ‘Eucharist’ which means ‘Communion’. Because we are human it is hard to understand how this takes place. It is surely a heavenly mystery that must be taken on faith that the host has been changed into the body and blood of Jesus Christ, which is ‘the bread of life’.
The priest, or clergy encompassed in the apostolic succession, are the only people who walk the face of the earth that can facilitate this mystery. (I will explain the apostolic succession in another blog). During the celebration of the mass by specific ‘Eucharistic prayer words’ spoken out loud by the priest during the highest point of the mass (often referred to as ‘the consecration’), the mystery of Jesus coming into the consecrated host becomes a reality. This is known as “Transubstantiation” where ” the whole substance of the bread changes into the substance of the body of Christ our Lord” (ccc 1376).
Most often, it is the beautiful and powerful words of Eucharistic Prayer II that are spoken in which the priest consecrating the bread says the following and the miracle takes place:
“You are indeed Holy, O Lord; the font of all holiness. Make holy therefore, these gifts we pray, by sending down your Spirit upon them like the dewfall, so that they may become for us the Body and Blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Because of the authority structure God made at creation and further in His church through his son, Jesus Christ, only the ordained clergy in the Apostolic succession of Saint Peter are blessed by God to do this, where He honors us with His real presence in the now sacred bread.
When you receive the Lord in Holy Communion it’s an intimate encounter with Jesus Christ. Communion is sharing; it’s oneness; it’s a type of intimacy. Intimacy = Into-me-see. A spiritual intercourse (between God and Man-you) in the two becoming one. On our way to receive Him we should be focused on the one we are approaching – Christ the King! Our eyes and thoughts should be fixed on Him with undivided attention/No distractions. So, as we stand up and walk on our way to Holy Communion, we should be attentive that we are in the presence of God as the angels who see him always are.
The degree of your attentiveness and cognizance that you are receiving the Lord, with the knowledge that He put a high value on you having eternal life with Him (the value of his own life), will bring a closeness unto you in your relationship with Him. Additionally, please realize we humbly show subordination to God being the giver and we the receiver when we are allowed to extend our tongue to ‘receive’ the consecrated ‘host’ rather than the hand to ‘take’ it.
Through the grace of God, and the workings of the Holy Spirit Jesus’s real presence in the consecrated ‘host’ is true.
Let me state this another way . . . the consecrated ‘host’ is Truth and Life! It is REALLY Jesus IN the FLESH on earth!
With that information in mind, please ponder the following:
- Because Jesus tells us to eat His flesh and drink His blood, what if it’s not enough to just ‘believe’ Jesus Christ is the Son of God?
- What if the unforgivable offense against the Holy Spirit is not believing in the True Presence of the Son of God (Jesus) in the consecrated host or that the Holy Spirit is joined with Him in such a way that they would not offend God by fragmenting His church.
In our conviction we proclaim and profess that Jesus is the Messiah. Have we stopped short of the rest refusing to believe in the true presence of Jesus in the ‘host’, and refusing to go where he really and truly is present with us on earth, and refusing to receive and possess him? Do we refuse to trust Him in these things. Do we refuse to trust what He established to keep us steadfast and true to Him in faith and morals, until He, the Man-God returns – that He established one (1) church? (And that this is the church the devil attacks most). Please remember, there is an accountability to God for what we do, as well as what we do not do? Not all refusals (which can also be thought of as obstinacy) give glory to God. Please read on.
In Exodus 14: 4 we read of God telling Moses that He made Pharaoh obstinate in order that He (God) will receive glory through Pharaoh and his army:
“Thus will I make Pharaoh so obstinate that he will pursue them. Then I will receive glory through Pharaoh and all his army and the Egyptians will know that I am the Lord”. 1
You know what happened to Pharaoh and the like. They were drowned in the Red Sea in obstinate pursuit of their own design. Their thoughts and actions were to their own destruction. The obstinacy of Pharaoh had a purpose in that God was glorified! Our obstinacy (or your obstinacy if it fits) can lead to a sad end if it does not glorify God. However, your trust, your belief, your acceptance and your Exodus to the church founded by God will bring glory to God.
The main point of the subject of this writing is that according to the gospel of John, there is one flock, one Church, one-fold since the birth of Jesus, and that this is where to come to seal your covenant with the Lord by eating His flesh and drinking His blood as He directs. Hundreds of years ago Martin Luther fostered the schism that took many away from the church Christ founded under God.
When Jesus’s words as told in the Gospel of John 10: 16 are realized “I have other sheep that do not belong to this fold. These also I must lead, and they will hear my voice, and there will be one flock, one shepherd, ” 1 there will begin synergy between our will and God’s will. The “other sheep” are the flock that separated from the fold of His church; those meant to return to the fold; those meant to partake in the mystery of the sacraments of His church and worship Him in the temple on earth where He is really present. It was not meant that there be a schism and breaks from His Holy and Apostolic Church.
Think about this: Jesus (Christ) taught us once! When He comes back it will be for those faithful and true who have learned, obeyed (and chosen) well.
With that, it very well could follow that prior to the second coming of Jesus Christ, the angel or angels of death (possibly within Padre Pio’s prophesized 3 days of darkness 2) will proceed as the Lord directs and those without the heavenly communion of the body and blood of the Lamb of God (Jesus) will not be recognized and very possibly pay the eternal price. This is something to think seriously about.
As blood of the lamb on the doorposts saved the Israelites from the 10th plague, so the sacrificial blood of the lamb of God will save us when the time of mercy ends, and the Justice of God begins. Any disordered reason could be costly!
Ponder this, for what other reason would God command His people to remember the Passover? I believe it’s because of its significance to the freedom of slavery and bondage in Egypt through Moses to the promised land, and today our sins are forgiven through Jesus who opened the gates of heaven for us. It transitions to the fulfillment of the messianic prophecies with His (Jesus) lifeblood that cried to God who accepted it. The mystery of God is incomprehensible!
By God’s grace, please understand Jesus’ presence is absolutely within the consecrated ‘host’ and Jesus is truly the Son of God.
Even the Satanist believe in the true presence of Jesus Christ in the ‘host’ which is why they desecrate it. If you put 50 hosts on a table, they could pick out the one (1) host that is consecrated (that contains Jesus), because they (under the influence of the demons) hate the Lord so much they feel an intense aversion to that one (1) ‘host’. We are human, so understanding the mystery of the true presence of Jesus in the consecrated host is beyond our capacity, so we must believe and partake in faith. When you’re dead it’s too late to receive the host in Holy Communion to demonstrate your trust. The opportunity is lost.
It wasn’t meant for anyone to be apart from him. Again, the schism Martin Luther caused hundreds of years ago that separated many from His established church on earth was not meant to happen. It was not meant that there should be any part of His flock separated from the fold.
We just have to trust and serve Him by our action that demonstrates our trust. He is waiting for you while you are alive to humbly show your trust, go to Him, and receive Him. Again, when you’re dead it’s too late to demonstrate your trust. You’ve lost the opportunity. There is NO undo; NO go-backs! I ask you to trust God! If you’ve left the church, please come back. If your part of the perpetuation of the schism caused by Martin Luther, please consider ending your participation in this.
Summarizing the 1st Exodus (See Exodus Chapters 12 and 20):
In the time of Moses when God rescued his people from slavery unto Pharaoh, the direction was to put “the blood of the unblemished lamb on the lintel and doorposts” so that the angel of death, “the destroyer”, recognized the dwelling of people belonging to the Lord God and would pass by. This was the catalyst God used to save His people from slavery to people who worshiped Egyptian false Gods. Then, through Moses, God gave His people His law in the 10 Commandments. Then, in fulfillment of the Messianic prophecies. God now gives His people His only begotten Son, Jesus who establishes a Universal Church for us (in God’s plan) to keep us steadfast in faith and morals.
Summarizing a New Current-day Exodus that needs to take place for / in each of us:
It was no coincidence on the very evening that begins the ‘death march’ so to speak, of Jesus to his brutal death, that it’s the time of the ‘Passover’ (commanded by God to remember), with the holy and significant meal which Jesus administrates (Matt 26: 17-19 and 26-29). In this, the Messiah leads in a transition to the holy meal of greater and higher significance; where the unblemished lamb’s blood is His, and the Angel of Death, in his tasking role, will recognize we have eaten of the lamb which seals the present-day covenant between God and Man. God and you!
Covenants the Lord makes with man contain an action that seals the covenant.
Our Actions are:
- To follow the commands of God, which includes the 10 Commandments.
- To want to know, love & serve God, and to worship Him alone – to have no other God’s before Him.
- To believe Jesus is the true Son of God, the Lamb of God and the prophesized Messiah.
- To believe in all the principles as set out in the Apostles Creed.
- To believe in faith of the incomprehensible mystery of the exchange between the Messiah’s mortal death on the cross to His immortal presence in the bread, by eating it (and not grumbling as the Israelites, about this mana given – you know what their fate was – they were not allowed into the Promised Land!).
- To eat of the sacrificial lamb in Holy Communion at mass in the Apostolic Catholic Church, under the Holy See, believing in His (Jesus) true presence in the host.
- To desire and choose to love your neighbor as yourself.
- To hear Jesus’ voice (John 10:16) and in humility, stay the course in His fold or return to His fold.
Please know that sealing this covenant by eating as directed carries with it the full strength of the Lord God and depth of the Holy Trinity.
Please Consider:
- Anything that is keeping you away from the church on earth Jesus founded is irrelevant!
- Anything that is keeping you outside the fold is most likely based on disordered human rationalization!
- Remembering you don’t have to understand, you just have to trust God; you just have to be where you’re supposed to be (in relationship with Him) and know His graces and blessings are more than can be imagined.
- Coming to experience the mass – listen to the words spoken at the altar. Seek to be one with Him and participate in the Holy Mass – in His Church on earth.
In Him, with Him, and through Him, the more you trust God and eat of the lamb, the more your ability to resist sin increases. Satan knows this which is why he fans the flames of obstinacy and incites us to rationalize like Eve, everything and anything he can use to his advantage in order to keep you from Holy Communion and the Church. Put 2-and-2 together on this and wise-up about the demons. They are the mortal enemy of mankind. They will confuse and use you like people can when they use others for sport, if you let them! Confusion is not of God.
- Remember, Demon’s never sleep. They prowl the world, like lions seeking prey to devour, to incite weakness, to incite distrust, and to incite forgetfulness about our eternity so when we die, the fallen angel Lucifer can claim us as his servants.
- Demons serve Lucifer who is also known as Satan. Satan wants to be God.
- Satan diabolically tries to make himself a God by having servants, knowing that sin demands justice and justice will damn us to hell where he can torture us eternally.
- Humans are inferior to God.
- Angels are inferior to God.
- Demons are inferior to God and man’s mortal enemy. They are the infernal enemy (IE) and forever cursed by God.
- God is Lord over everything including ALL angels and demons.
- Demons are fallen angels in all the ranks they were when God created them.
- Humans are inferior to angels and cannot combat these fallen angels running a-muck without praying to God (and all in heaven) for help.
- Humans are not angels and have no rank, so when in hell, will be lower than the demons they served while alive.
- Have a think about that if you’ve abandoned God, and love being on-top-of-the-world; you will be lower than the angelic demons in hell, tortured by them for eternity! Think about when you stub your toe – how bad it hurts and how you can’t wait for it to stop hurting. Pain inflicted in hell never stops. If you intentionally serve the infernal enemy that’s where you will be if you die in that state, without repenting and asking the Lord for mercy, before you breathe your last breath. That’s what the evil enemy wants/ your eternal damnation. Don’t give into his temptations, his lies or tricks.
- Remember, OBEDIENCE to GOD is PARAMOUNT – It is an ABSOLUTE CONDITION!
There are bible passages such as Matthew 16: 13-19 and John 6: 53-57 that distinctly call out what God wanted (and wants) regarding His Church, and 1st John 5: 10-12 expounds on the difference between belief and possession of the Son of God. Much of the world seems to be overlooking the seriousness of the directive passages and the gravity of misinterpreting them. These passages are clear and precise. Having a holy fear of God, we should not ignore directives from the Father; directives and proclamations by the Son; and actions or workings of the Holy Spirit.
Matt 16: 13-19 contains the proclamation by Jesus of the church’s foundation to be God’s will. Jesus, having a conversation with the disciples ask them:
“Who do people say that the Son of Man is?’ They replied, “Some say John the Baptist, others Elijah, still others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Simon Peter said in reply, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” Jesus said to him in reply, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah. For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my heavenly Father. And so I say to you, you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church, and the gates of the netherworld shall not prevail against it. I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatever you loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.” 1
1st John 5: 10-12 contains the admonition that believing in the Son of God is a testimony, but that possession is life:
“Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within himself. Whoever does not believe God has made him a liar by not believing the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God gave us eternal life and this life is in his Son. Whoever possesses the Son has life; whoever does not possess the Son of God does not have life”. 1
John 6: 53-57 contains the admonition of how to possess the Son of God:
“Amen, Amen I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood you do not have life within you. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life and I will raise him on the last day. For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me and I in him Just as the living Father sent me, and I have life because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on me will have life because of me”. 1
Remember, Obedience is EVERYTHING to God! God arbores anarchy! If you are of the mindset that Jesus is not the Son of the most high God, in light of these passages you must re-think this, you must pray earnestly about this. Please do not let human emotion write a check your soul will have to cash – for eternity! You only have to look to how severe he was with Adam and Eve not only in expulsion from the Garden where “Cherubim and the Fiery Revolving Sword guard the way” (Genesis 3:24) but cursed them (Genesis 3: 16-19) with realities we live with today.
In the Laws of Creation, sin demands Justice. There is no getting around this. It is literally Apples and Oranges if in this statement we equate Apples to sin and Love/Mercy to Oranges. We MUST follow the Authority Structure. The authority structure is found in Scripture, in the Natural Law, and in the 10 Commandments.
By Genesis 3: 16 we know the authority structure between man and women as set out by the commanding words of God to the woman:
“Your urge shall be for your husband, and he shall be your master”. 1
The woman is in a subordinate role. (A note to women: this is why you don’t want to marry indiscriminately or lay with man outside the authority structure).
Some key points I would ask you to remember and ponder:
- Authority is in heaven. Not as we see it, but as heaven sees.
- About action(s): They demonstrate, and they begin with intent.
- In order to serve God, we must first trust him, and we must choose to love him.
- I would ask you to do both by choosing to trust and love God.
I attended a Conference in Denver, CO where Father Chad Ripperger PhD, a leading expert in the area of spiritual warfare, spoke of Adam and Eve during his first talk of the conference.
(I urge you to seek out his talks on U-Tube for the full context and subscribe to his channel). From my notes of the talk at that conference – that contain some paraphrasing. If, as I believe, I understood correctly, Father Ripperger explained:
“Adam and Eve committed sin of several formations. Eve was indigent. Indignation is an error in judgement. Then there is emotion. Eve thought the fruit was beautiful when she looked at it, contrary to reason where she knew it was not good. Through her desire, she was tempted with something greater than her state in life. The devil entered by deception. A serpent that talked. She knew animals don’t talk. Then there’s curiosity in seeking knowledge not proper to her state in life. When Eve ate, she acted on her own accord which was a step away from God out of His authority structure, when she stepped out of the code of Adam’s authority. Adam ate, then sin was affected in his body. Once Adam ate the fruit, the sin took effect. They (Adam and Eve) desired the exact opposite of their assigned task. When they made that choice, their will is fixed in that evil”.
I’m grateful to God for what I learned regarding sin through this talk of Father Ripperger. I’ve posted for your ponderings and consideration.
I pray for all good things in Christ for you.
